I thought I was going to go crazy. I have heard of fast heart beats, but I could sustain a heart rate of 200 for over 2 hours until I finally got into the ER and got a drug called Adenocard to stop it which is terrifying in itself because your heart literally stops for a few seconds, then picks back up at a regular rate. I had to sit and think about whether or not I was going to take the Adenocard, but there was no other way out of the irregular heart rate. When the nurse pushed the drug in my IV, everyone stopped and watched the monitor. It made me feel the experience of impending doom as the drug hit home. Its terrifying.
Finally in October of last year, a electrophysicist, Dr.Moulton in Springfield diagnosed my heart disturbance and cured me with an ablation. No more Adenocard for me. Thank you Lord. I just wondered if anyone has ever had A radiofrequency Ablation, and did it permanently stop the racing heart, or did it come back after a couple years? He says I am cured.

I certainly hope that it works for you. Unfortunately I have had patients who had to have ablation done 3-4 times to solve their problem. Even tonight in the er I had a patient who had ablation done yesterday and is still having his arrhytmia. Best wishes.
